An overview of the emerging technologies of PET, and PET/CT will be given by a leader in the field of nuclear medicine followed by individual presentations on the (1) the role of PET, PET/CT in the management of the NO neck and in staging patients with advanced UADT tumors; (2) the role of PET, PET/CT in the identification of the primary site in patients with unknown primary tumors and metastatic cancer in the neck; (3) the role of PET, PET/CT in evaluating for posttreatment response in the primary site and neck in patents treated with nonsurgical modalities for upper aerodigestive tract tumors; (4) the role of PET in the management of thyroid cancers. A panel discussion will follow during which questions from the audience can be answered and representatives cases will be presented and discussed.
