Abstract

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Sponsored by the AAO-HNS Section for Residents and Fellows, this miniseminar is designed to benefit physicians who are beginning to embark on a career in otolaryngology as well as those who are looking to enter into new practice opportunities. Basic employment concerns such as location and different specialty practices will be contrasted against the particulars of contract negotiation and benefit packages. There are specific questions that young physicians should ask and be prepared to answer when beginning their careers. These and other interviewing tips will be provided from an experienced and highly successful employer's perspective. A knowledgeable contract attorney will participate to describe the structure and details of an effective employment negotiation. This miniseminar will conclude with an interactive question and answer session.
