Abstract
This special edition of Plastics Rubbers and Composites collects selected papers from the seventh edition of the ‘Polymers and Moulds Innovations International Conference’, held in 2016 in Ghent, Belgium. This conference is hosted biannually by the Centre for Polymer and Material Technologies at Ghent University (BE) and the Institute for Polymers and Composites at the University of Minho (PT).
The aim of this conference is to provide a scientific platform where academia and industry may meet to discuss the latest developments and trends in the exciting field of polymer engineering.
Symposia of the seventh edition have included Additive Manufacturing, Extrusion-based Processing, Injection Moulding & Moulds, Polymer & Composite Materials and Recycling & Sustainable Material Development.
From the more than 70 peer-reviewed papers presented at the conference, those of the highest quality in the field of Additive Manufacturing were invited to submit an extended version of their conference paper for consideration in this special edition.
