Correction

In the October 2011 issue of Genetic Testing and Molecular Biomarkers (vol. 15, no. 10), the article “Diagnosis of Spinal Muscular Atrophy Via High-Resolution Melting Analysis Symmetric Polymerase Chain Reaction Without Probe: A Screening Evaluation for SMN1 Deletions and Intragenic Mutations,” by Dr. Satoru Morikawa et al., has possibly misleading content in figure 7 that the authors would like to clarify. The left plot was originally labeled “SMNgEX7R” and the right plot was labeled “SMNEX7R.”

The authors determined the two parts of the figure should be relabeled as “Primer set D” and “Primer set E,” respectively.

The authors wish to apologize for the error.
