Abstract

A mother brings her 6-year-old son to your afternoon surgery expressing concerns regarding his clumsiness. He often struggles to get himself dressed in the mornings and frequently bangs in to objects at school and at home. He finds it difficult to join in with other children in the playground due to his apparent lack of coordination. He is otherwise making good progress academically. His height and weight are both on the 75th centile for his age. Physical examination is unremarkable.
