Abstract

You are working an evening out of hours shift at the local primary care centre. You see a 59-year-old man who attends with his wife. She tells you that he slipped down four stairs and banged his head at home approximately 1 hour ago. He did not lose consciousness but does have some amnesia since the injury. He has a history of hypertension and is taking amlodipine. Neurological examination is unremarkable.
