Abstract

According to current NICE guidance, those patients with an ABCD2 score of 3 or below are at lower risk of subsequent stroke, and as such should be assessed by a specialist within 7 days.
Those with an ABCD2 score of 4 or more are at high risk of stroke, and should be assessed by a specialist within 24 hours.
