In the Summary for article “Lactate is a preferential oxidative energy substrate over glucose for neurons in culture” (Bouzier-Sore et al., 2003) note the following change to penultimate sentence on page 1298. The sentence should read, “When glucose and lactate concentrations were identical (5.5 mmol/L), relative contributions of glucose and lactate to neuronal oxidative metabolism amounted to 10% and 90%, respectively.”
