A phenomenon that is already having a worldwide effect is the aging of the world's population. In order to better understand the ramifications of population aging, the migration of United States retired persons into Mexico is examined, followed by discussion of preliminary data on the demographic profile of these retirees in one part of Mexico, and concluding with a prediction of future trends based on a combination of this demographic profile and of projections of aging into the 21st century.
