McKenzie : Brain Abscess Secondary to Frontal Sinus Suppuration. Drainage, Recovery. Journ. of Laryng., March, 1915, p. 130. This case is a questionable one as to the exact location of the abscess, as it might have been situated either extra or subdural or in the frontal lobe.

Mollison : Frontal Sinus Suppuration. Suppurative Meningitis for Fourteen Days. Operation. Recovery. Journ. of Laryng., November, 1919, p. 452. This case unquestionably represented an extradural abscess in its incipiency.

In this case, the fact that great improvement was noted for two days after the radical sinus operation points to a collection of pus communicating with the frontal sinus (extradural abscess) rather than a meningitis.
