A joint study is currently being organized by the author and Dr. E. Paul Torrance to test the hypothesis that the mean originality scores of Australian (Armidale, N.S.W.) and American (Minneapolis, Minnesota) school age children are not significantly different.

The testing programme was organized and the scoring and analysis carried out by the author and the Bureau of Educational Research of the University of Minnesota. The test administration and supervision was conducted by the Research Branch of the W.A. Education Department during November and December, 1960.
