Sex Differences in Predictive Ability of Tests of Structure-of-Intellect Factors Relative to a Criterion Examination of High School Physics Achievement
Twelve factors from the Structure-of-Intellect model of Guilford were selected to test 119 physics students from three high schools. Multiple regression analyses indicated that physics achievement, as measured by a mechanics test, was most strongly related to factors within the selected set which included the operation of divergent production for boys and convergent production for girls.
