The use of monocular viewing constrains S from normal binocular vision and accordingly imposes systematic effects due to the constraint. A procedure which methodologically specifies these effects is double-monocular viewing. It is suggested that such methodology is required, in that, individual differences in eye preference introduce permutations of data and conclusions.
