Ring and rotor 50%-50% blended polyester-cotton spun yarns were studied for diameter and hairiness by comparison with 100% cotton and 100% polyester yams. Experiments were carried out with 25 mg/m yams with twists of between 574 and 814 t/m (ring spun yams), and 766 and 1,244 t/m (rotor spun yams). The ITQT digital hairiness meter was used for measuring results.
