Abstract

This issue marks a change in the editorial leadership of JEngL. After many years of service, Susan Tamasi is stepping down from her post as the review editor. Review editor is often a thankless job that involves many difficult tasks, not least selecting the few books that the journal is able to review among the many worthy of attention and recruiting suitable reviewers who are willing to undertake a review. Susan has carried out the assignment with tenacity and good cheer. The many reviewers who have worked with her undoubtedly join us in sincerely thanking her for her long service to the profession and wishing her all the best for the future. As Susan’s successor, we welcome Lauren Squires (Ohio State University). A former editorial assistant at JEngL, Lauren is very familiar with the ins and outs of the journal, and her research and teaching interests position her well to work with books and reviewers from the broad field of English linguistics. We are excited to collaborate with Lauren to continue to bring out first-rate reviews of recent books.
