Abstract
Dr. John E. Yong is assistant professor of small business and policy at the College of Business Administration, University of Colorado, Denver, United States of America. His research interests currently focus around small firm strategic-making and all aspects of venture capital financing. The present empirical study investigates small firm intitial public offerings from four perspectives. Specifically the perceptions of chief executive officers regarding the public offering process, underlying motives for initiating public offerings, consequences of completing the process and attributes contributing towards success during the offering process are examined.
