Examines the problems facing bibliographic
control in Kenya, including the current state of
publishing and legal deposit and the
production of the Kenya National Bibliography.
There is a need to coordinate the activities of
the various bodies in the country responsible
for information creation, collection and
retrieval, but as yet no national coordinating
body exists. The problems described cannot
be solved by information workers alone.
Publishers, printers and, above all, decision
makers, have important roles to play.
