The two final reports of the special Senate investigating committee are Foreign and Military Intelligence and Intelligence Activities and the Rights of Americans, Books I and II, Final Report of the Senate Select Committee to Study Governmental Operations with Respect to Intelligence Activities, 94 Cong., 2 sess. (1976). The committee also published a series of background reports. The Congressional investigations were preceded by an investigation by a White House-appointed panel, the Rockefeller Commission, into domestic activities of the CIA. Its report is Report of the Commission on CIA Activities Within the United States (Washington, 1975).
