Abstract

In recent years Progress in Human Geography has ensured a regular turnover of editors. For obvious reasons this helps to ensure the vitality of the journal. After a five year period of sterling service Rob Kitchin left the editorial team at the end of 2014. Rob's unusual versatility was a huge asset to Progress. During his time as an editor he handled dozens of papers, organised the journal's two annual lectures and managed its Twitter profile. He will be greatly missed and we thank him warmly for his many contributions to PiHG.
We are delighted to welcome Professor Pauline McGuirk as a new editor. Pauline is at the University of Newcastle, Australia. Her research will be well known to many readers. She is the first southern hemisphere-based editor of the journal and her expertise and networks will be greatly beneficial for Progress. Pauline will serve for four years.
