Online Meeting Subscription Now Available
The Online Meeting Subscription includes access to online meetings captured from August 2006 until July 2007 (Surgical Skills 2006, Practice Management 2006, Specialty Day 2007, the 2007 sports-specific meeting, Annual Meeting 2007). The cost for the online subscription is $100.

AOSSM Self Assessment and Board Review: Version 2 to be Released
The AOSSM Self Assessment and Board Review Version 2 will be released at the end of September 2006. In both print and online formats, this new version is a tool for testing knowledge in 7 critical areas of sports medicine, for identifying strengths and weaknesses in clinical and practice management issues, and for reviewing diagnostic, surgical, and other therapeutic measures and techniques used in sports medicine. The AOSSM Self Assessment and Board Review Version 2 is the optimal preparation for the subspecialty examination and maintenance of certification given by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
The AOSSM Self Assessment features 125 comprehensive questions, images, and answers along with citations and Web links to references. Participants can complete questions at their own pace and receive instant results and scores, along with the opportunity to compare results with those of their peers. Completion of the AOSSM Self Assessment and an evaluation will earn up to 12 category 1 credits toward the AMA Physician Recognition Award.
The online format ($100 AOSSM members/$125 nonmembers) provides a participant with unlimited access for 1 year, with the response options automatically reordered each time the Self Assessment is taken. The print format ($100 AOSSM members/$125 nonmembers) includes both the questions booklet and the responses/references booklet. AOSSM Patient Education Series, “Sports Tips,” Gets a Face-Lift
Newly revised and redesigned, the AOSSM patient education series, “Sports Tips,” is now available for purchase. “Sports Tips” are colorful, easy-to-read handouts on common sports injury topics. A new feature of the series allows physicians and clinics to personalize each “Sport Tip” topic with name, address, or logo. Two new topics, “Golf Injuries” and “Off-Road Motorcycling and ATV Safety,” made their debut at the Society's Annual Meeting, totaling 20 “Sports Tips” topics.
