Join the STOP Sports Injuries Team

Did you know that more than 1,100 organizations currently collaborate with STOP Sports Injuries? The program was founded on the idea that grassroots efforts could help spread awareness and information about preventing overuse and trauma injuries in young athletes. This number includes more than 800 sports medicine practices, which hold local events and share our injury prevention information with patients. If you have not already signed up, be sure to visit STOPSportsInjuries.org and click “Get Involved” to learn more.

Gain a Global Sports Medicine Perspective

Applications are currently being accepted for the 2019 AOSSM Traveling Fellowship Tour to the Asia Pacific. Tentative tour dates will be March 27-April 21, 2019, with the tour ending at the APKASS Summit in Cheng Du, China. Three individuals will be selected to participate in the tour with a “Godparent” selected by the incoming AOSSM President. During the tour, you’ll have the opportunity to view surgical procedures, visit surgical and rehabilitative facilities, attend local sporting events, and connect socially and professionally with regional experts in sports medicine.

The 3rd Annual Cartilage Symposium, presented by the Center for Joint Preservation in San Francisco, California, will be held November 8-10, 2018 at the Parc 55 San Francisco and is designed to deliver the most up-to-date and advanced information in cartilage repair and provide an opportunity for industry providers to exchange ideas on trends and best practices. We have an impressive group of faculty who will give presentations, hold demonstrations, and provide hands-on practical experience in a half-day bio-skills cadaveric wet lab workshop for attendees. Participants will receive 15 CME credits.

The 34th Annual Advances on the Knee, Shoulder, and Sports Medicine Conference will be held Saturday through Tuesday, May 25-28, 2019 at the Sonesta Resort on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The conference is co-sponsored by The Jewish Hospital and Cincinnati SportsMedicine Research and Education Foundation and provides 32 AMA PRA Category 1 credits™. This conference is one of a few comprehensive continuing education courses that includes clinical, surgical, and rehabilitative management of knee, shoulder, elbow, hip, and sports medicine pathology. Our internationally recognized, multi-disciplinary faculty will share their experiences, research, and outcomes to stimulate you to rethink your approach to many musculoskeletal challenges.
