Through no fault of the author, a sentence in Amy Kroska’s review of Framed by Gender by Cecilia L. Ridgeway in Volume 26(4), August 2012, did not include the intended punctuation. The correct sentence should read as follows: “She begins by setting up the puzzle: Ordinal hierarchies, such as gender inequality, are generally maintained by tying membership in a particular category to the control of resources and power.” Gender & Society regrets the error.
