Abstract
This series is promoted as an introduction to and/or review of American government for high schools and colleges, but it does not succeed in any of its objectives. As an introduction, it fails to address adequately either audience since it is, at times, conceptually too complex for most high school students yet overly simplistic for college students. And as a review, this initial disk in the series has other flaws, both procedural and substantive, that also further undermine its value as an introduction. Unfortunately, moreover, the dull nature of its treatment of American government is almost certain to turn off students rather than catch and hold their interest and attention.
