Abstract
In this paper, Prof. J, a character created by the deputy Secretary General of the Habitat II Conference (Jorge Wilheim) discusses with a cultural historian from the year 2024 how the contemporary urban problems that the Habitat II Conference is seeking to address were addressed in the last few years of the 20th century and the first two decades of the 21st century.
