Review Article: Recent Comparative Texts

The range of texts with a comparative focus on (primarily or exclusively) European industrial relations has increased rapidly in recent years. Four new works are reviewed here. The author suggests that in different ways, each reveals the difficulty of combining sensitivity to the detailed specificity of developments in individual countries with clear and persuasive generalization.
