Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a serious impact on the teaching and studying orders of college education in various countries. In the context of the normalization of the COVID-19, China has basically achieved the goal of normal resumption of study for most college students. Generally speaking, the following practices are worth sticking to.
Epidemic Prevention of Universities Should Be Coordinated With the Nation’s and Local’s
In the strict prevention network of four-party responsibilities–apanage, departments, units, and individuals, 1 colleges are important parts thereinto. Health education should be integrated into all aspects of college education. It is very important to cultivate the awareness of the first responsible person for self-health, form the habit of self-health management, and improve health literacy. 2 Meanwhile, it is necessary to fully understand the scientific nature of prevention and the importance of self-discipline.
Stagger the Peak and Return to School in Batches
To a certain extent, staggering the peak and returning to school in batches can reduce the pressure of epidemic prevention and control work. After registering return trip information in school’s student return registration system one week in advance, students return to school in batches in the following order: students taking make-up exams, volunteers for school registration, other students of all grades. Doing a good job of epidemic prevention at school gate is the top priority. 3 It is necessary to show normal temperature, nucleic acid test report within 48 hours before the departure, health code, or travel card according to various conditions. Participating in the centralized nucleic acid test organized by colleges or hospitals is required under special circumstances.
Explore New Teaching Modes and Realize the Digitalization of Teaching Resources and the Open Sharing of Educational Data
In order to prevent the interruption of offline teaching caused by repeated epidemics, colleges are actively exploring a new teaching mode–online and offline mixed teaching–to comprehensively summarize and popularize the experience of “suspending classes without stopping learning and teaching.” 4 In the meantime, the digitization and sharing of educational data have provided tremendous support for the decision-making and management of college education. 5
Others
It is also important to adjust the online and offline teaching schedules reasonably according to the epidemic situation, such as earlier return home in the fall semester and postponing the new semester in spring. Then, the online teaching plan will be officially launched.
A sound teaching order is of great significance for the continuous study and the mental health of college students, which would affect the happiness of each family and the social stability. Therefore, it is necessary for us to take effective measures to ensure the resumption of study in colleges.
