Planewave Diffraction by A Perfectly Conducting Halfplane in A Homogeneous Biisotropic Medium

Diffraction of an electromagnetic wave by a perfectly conducting halfplane in a biisotropic medium is considered. The vector diffraction problem is reduced to the scattering of a single scalar field, this scalar field being the normal cornponent of either a left-handed or a right-handed Beltrami field. The diffraction of the left-handed field cornponent is explicitly analyzed, that of the other scalar field being analogously tractable. The field in the far zone is calculated asymptotically.
