Abstract
Adaptive and intelligent mobile learning systems are transforming education by offering personalized, engaging experiences through artificial intelligence (AI). These systems tailor learning paths to individual paces, interests, and patterns, providing real-time feedback and recommending resources for optimal learning. Gamification elements, such as badges, leaderboards, and points, further motivate learners, promoting engagement and fostering healthy competition. As a result, these systems support personal growth, skill development, and professional advancement, becoming crucial tools for lifelong learning and career training. Incorporating traditional board and card games into mobile platforms enhances this further, providing interactive, context-driven learning opportunities. These games bridge theoretical concepts with practical applications, offering diverse learning methods. This special issue seeks contributions that address these challenges while exploring advancements in personalized learning, gamification, and the integration of board and card games. We invite submissions focused on the diverse applications of adaptive mobile learning systems, including in engineering, business education, games, and specialized fields. Research on design principles, technological advancements, and case studies in mobile learning systems is welcome, aiming to explore how adaptive systems can reshape education and professional training. Topics of interest include AI algorithms, gamification elements, and board/card game integrations in mobile learning environments.
Adaptive and intelligent mobile learning systems are revolutionizing the education landscape by offering personalized and engaging learning experiences. By leveraging artificial intelligence (AI), these systems can adapt to individual learners’ paces, interests, and learning patterns. They create customized learning paths, deliver real-time feedback, and recommend tailored resources, ensuring an effective and enjoyable learning experience. Gamification elements, such as badges, leaderboards, and points, are key components that enhance learner engagement, foster motivation, and promote collaboration and healthy competition. As a result, mobile learning systems contribute to personal growth, skill development, and professional advancement. These systems are not only transforming e-learning but are also becoming critical tools for lifelong learning, entrepreneurship, and career training in various domains.
Expanding the scope of these systems to incorporate traditional board and card games into mobile platforms opens up new avenues for creative and meaningful learning experiences. Traditional games provide a foundation for developing interactive and contextually relevant applications that are both engaging and accessible. Incorporating these games into mobile learning platforms can bridge the gap between abstract theoretical concepts and their practical applications, offering a rich variety of learning methods. However, the development of such systems comes with challenges, including platform fragmentation, resource constraints, and ensuring robust user authentication. This special issue aims to address these challenges while exploring the latest advancements in adaptive and intelligent mobile learning systems. It seeks contributions that highlight innovations in personalized learning, gamification, and the integration of board and card games, emphasizing their impact on education, professional training, and skill development.
We encourage submissions that address diverse applications of adaptive mobile learning systems, ranging from engineering and business education to training in specialized fields. Research focusing on design principles, technological advancements, case studies, and data analytics in mobile learning systems is particularly welcome. By exploring these areas, this special issue aims to advance the understanding of how adaptive and intelligent systems can reshape education and professional training while providing learners with immersive and effective tools for development.
