In the published version of the above-mentioned article, an incorrect animal ethics approval number (CMUIACUC-2019-258) was inadvertently added to the Ethical Considerations section. The correction does not affect the results, interpretation, or conclusions of the article. The article has now been updated with the correct ethics approval number, as follows.

Ethical considerationsAll experimental protocols involving animals were reviewed and approved by the Animal Care Center and Research Ethics Committee of China Medical University, Taichung, Taiwan (Approval No. CMUIACUC-2017-246). The study was conducted in strict accordance with the principles of the 3Rs (Replacement, Reduction, and Refinement) and the Humane Care and Use of Laboratory Animals policy. Every effort was made to minimize animal suffering and to use the minimum number of animals necessary to achieve scientific validity.
