Abstract
This edition features two reviews focusing on the creative elements of dementia care. ‘Improving memory through creativity’ (Alders Pike, 2014) demonstrates the translatability of art (in the broadest sense of the word) from practical to clinical experiences. ‘The things between us’ (Howard and Miranda (eds), 2014) is a collection of experiential poems narrated by people living with dementia. The final review in this collection (Watchman (ed), 2014) explores the dual experience of dementia and intellectual disabilities.
