Abstract
Dr. David Morata graduated from the University of California, Irvine. He obtained his M.S. in 2019 and his Ph.D. in aeroacoustics in 2022, under the guidance of Dr. Dimitri Papamoschou. His research interests include advanced microphone array techniques, signal processing for phased array technologies, acoustic holography, noise source modeling and reduction, supersonic jet noise, jet screech, and ducted fan noise. He has worked on developing continuous-scan phased microphone arrays and low‐order models for rapid noise prediction for supersonic jet flows. His research has been awarded several prizes, including the AIAA Best Paper Award in Aeroacoustics in 2022. Dr. Morata is involved in several research projects and is an active reviewer for different journals.
