Abstract

The Journal of Mixed Methods Research invites nominations and applications for the position Co-Editor. The Journal of Mixed Methods Research focuses on empirical, methodological, and theoretical articles about mixed methods research across the social, behavioral, health, and human sciences. The journal is currently ranked in the Thomson-Reuters Journal Citation Reports®. It is expected that the new Co-Editor will maintain disciplinary and geographic diversity.
The Co-Editor will be working alongside current Co-Editor Dawn Freshwater. Along with Dr. Freshwater, the Co-Editor will be responsible for accepting and rejecting manuscripts on the basis of the quality of the scholarly work presented and the suitability of the subject matter for the Journal of Mixed Methods Research, setting rigorous standards for research, guiding manuscripts through the review process using a web-based system, overseeing revisions, planning special issues, putting together tables of contents, writing editorials, working with SAGE Publications staff to promote the journal, and other organizational and managerial issues. A recognized mixed methods scholar with a solid publishing record who has written about mixed methods, conducted mixed methods studies, and is comfortable with both quantitative and qualitative approaches to research
An individual with recognition among an international network of scholars interested in mixed methods research from many disciplines
A full-time faculty member at an institution with the resources and the support to house appropriate operations of the journal
An individual with excellent writing skills, experience reviewing and editing manuscripts, and proven mentoring abilities
