Abstract
An efficient numerical procedure is presented for calculating the heat flux into the face of a slab of homogeneous material under non-steady state conditions. The thermal conductivity and heat capacity of the material can be linear functions of temperature. The procedure also yields values of the temperature at several locations through the slab.
