Abstract

Sage was alerted to a discussion on PubPeer discussing the article citations, methods, and potential overlap with other published work.
The concerns raised were as follows:
The second sentence on page 50 cites two different articles for one statistic: “The literature reports show that in recent years, in developed countries, DF has a very high morbidity and mortality, and the incidence of DF in DM patients is as high as 25%. [2,3]”
Reference [4] in the article (Su J, Sheng Z, Liu A, et al. IEEE T Commun 2020; 68: 998.) appears to refer to the article “A Group-Based Binary Splitting Algorithm for UHF RFID anti-Collision Systems,” which is not related to the topic of this article.
Concerns about the lack of detail surrounding the study’s methodology and ethical approval, specifically on how and when animals were sourced, how many mice were included in the experiment, the methodological details and whether ethical approval was obtained.
The experiment appears to contain overlap and similarity with another article of which one author is also a co-author: RETRACTED ARTICLE: Heterometallic La(III)-Co(II) coordination polymers: treatment activity on diabetic foot by reducing the TLR-4–NF-κB signaling pathway activation in the plantar tissue. Sage made multiple attempts to contact the authors but received no response.
Due to the unresolved concerns about the article referencing and the details of the study that call into question the validity of the findings, Sage and the Journal Editor retract this article.
The authors did not respond to the decision to retract.
