Abstract

Answer A. Dexamethasone
Current guidelines suggest that corticosteroids may be given for short periods for cancer-related fatigue and lethargy. Methylphenidate has little evidence and modafinil does not tend to work and can cause agitation. Zopiclone can sometimes help people with insomnia, but is not used for fatigue. Thyroxine is appropriate in hypothyroidism.
