You see a 55-year-old lady with a 3-hour history of rapid onset, left-sided upper severe abdominal pain and rectal bleeding. She doesn’t describe any vomiting or fevers. Her only other past medical history is hypertension and atrial fibrillation.
On examination, her abdomen is soft and non-tender.
