Abstract

Answer D. Ultrasound kidneys, ureters and bladder
In most adults, a computerised tomography scan of the kidneys, ureters and bladder is most appropriate when assessing renal colic. According to the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, an ultrasound of the kidneys, ureters and bladder should be arranged as the first-line imaging option for pregnant patients and children.
