Abstract

Answer D. Still’s murmur
A Still’s murmur is the most common of innocent murmurs, typically presenting in young children aged 3–6 but sometimes persisting in adolescence. The murmur is typically auscultated over the left lower sternal border and apex. It is a systolic murmur, grade 1–3, typically described as ‘musical’ or ‘crescendo-decrescendo’. It is often heard best with the patient supine and is quieter on standing.
