A 47-year-old man presents with a history of easy bruising since childhood and recurrent epistaxis. He reports prolonged bleeding following a dental extraction 2 years ago. He has recently started on aspirin 75 mg once daily following a suspected transient ischaemic attack (TIA). He reports that both his sisters have heavy menstrual bleeding, and one experienced a postpartum haemorrhage. On examination, there are multiple bruises over his arms and legs.
Initial investigations show a normal platelet count, normal prothrombin time (PT) and normal activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT).
