Abstract

Answer E. Von Willebrand disease
Von Willebrand disease is the most common inherited bleeding disorder and typically presents with lifelong mucocutaneous bleeding, including easy bruising, epistaxis, menorrhagia and excessive bleeding after procedures, often with a positive family history affecting both sexes. Routine coagulation tests (prothrombin time (PT) and activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT)) and platelet count are frequently normal in mild disease, making clinical history central to diagnosis.
