Expert speakers will discuss and debate the current topics and issues relating to food safety in today’s changing catering, manufacturing and supply chain. Changing culture is an ongoing and sustained process requiring communication and commitment from staff at every level, and this conference will provide delegates with tips on how to effectively change behaviour in the workplace in addition to discussions on new and emerging challenges to ensuring food safety.

This conference will address the practical issues around the school environment and how to harness it to promote good health, with an emphasis on the role of peer learning in the form of youth health champions. Practical workshops will allow more in depth discussion about engaging vulnerable students, tackling difficult health topics and how to encourage different types of young people to participate.

The RSPH is approved by the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (FOM) to run the FOM course to prepare candidates for the Diploma in Occupational Medicine’s written examination and the oral examination based on a portfolio. This course is the foundation level qualification required for occupational medicine. By the end of the course, participants should be competent to seek and apply special information and techniques in Occupational Medicine; be conversant with current thinking on the application of appropriate legislation and satisfy all the requirements of the Faculty’s Diploma Core Syllabus.
