Exciting Fundraising Opportunities at the 2025 Conference!
We are thrilled to announce three special fundraising events at this year’s In-person conference, offering attendees meaningful opportunities to support our mission. Building on last year’s success, we are bringing back two popular fundraisers for 2025: Satchels and Purses for Nurses silent auction and the President’s Endowment Challenge. The overwhelming support for these events last year showed the power of our community, and we can’t wait to see the impact we make together this year.
For our Virtual Conference participants—we’ve got something for you, too! You’ll have the opportunity to take part in the President’s Endowment Challenge, ensuring that everyone, regardless of location, can make a meaningful difference.
Satchels and Purses for Nurses—Silent Auction
The Satchels and Purses for Nurses silent auction will be a highly anticipated fundraising event at NASN2025! The Satchels and Purses for Nurses silent auction will once again feature an online bidding platform, making it easier than ever to participate throughout the conference. Attendees can enjoy the excitement of bidding on beautiful bags while supporting the Endowment Fund. The highest bidders will walk away with a stunning new satchel, purse, or bag—all for a great cause.
All items will be available for in-person viewing, with photos and descriptions also featured on the online bidding platform. Stay tuned for links to the catalog and more details in the NASN2025 Conference Blog.
Interested in donating a purse, bag, or satchel? Contact your affiliate leaders to contribute. All of the auction proceeds go directly to the Endowment Fund.
President’s Endowment Challenge
NASN President Kate King has chosen Advocating for Equity as the theme for her 2024 to 2025 NASN President’s Endowment Challenge. The President’s Challenge—will have a QR code again this year, continuing to provide a seamless way to contribute. Donations will support research on the impact of school nurses on health and education outcomes. Access to a school nurse is an equity issue, and this research strengthens the case for why school nurses are essential in fostering a culture of health (King, 2024).
You can contribute when registering for the conference, through the NASN website at https://www.nasn.org/give, or by scanning the QR code on this page. Every donation—big or small—makes a difference!
Endowment Donations at the Door
Due to specific Texas laws regarding raffles, we will be collecting Endowment donations at the door during certain general sessions. Stay tuned for more details in the NASN2025 Conference Blog.
The Endowment Fund Supports Awards, Grants, and Scholarships
In June 2013, NASN achieved a major milestone by raising one million dollars for the Endowment Fund (We’ve Arrived! 2014). Today, ongoing donations help sustain and grow the fund, ensuring the continued availability of scholarships and grants. However, the number of awards distributed depends on the fund’s balance and market fluctuations (Hall, 2024).

Help Us Reach Our Goal!
This year, we aim to raise $15,000 to grow the Endowment Fund. These fundraising efforts are a vital part of our conference, both in supporting and advancing school nurse practice. Table 1 describes how the Endowment Fund advances school nursing practice. Your participation in fundraising events makes a meaningful difference. Get ready to give, connect, and make an impact.
