Abstract

Introduction
The Osher Center for Integrative Health at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital convened the second international conference on the Science of Tai Chi & Qigong as Whole Person Health on April 30–May 1, 2026 at the Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. The two-day event brought together over 350 cross-disciplinary participants- researchers, clinicians, educators, integrative health practitioners, administrators, and policymakers- representing 15 countries. The conference featured four major plenary themes: 1) Aging Brain, Aging Body, Mind-Body Health; 2) Leveraging Technology in Tai Chi/Qigong Research and Implementation; 3) Research at the Frontier: Fascia, Energy and Sensation; and 4) Tai Chi/Qigong and Integrative Oncology. There were 70+ presentations, including scientific symposia, oral abstracts, and experiential workshops. In addition, there were more than 85 poster presentations, including those spanning basic science, clinical and translational research, as well as those presenting innovative concepts and ideas bridging East and West.
