A Correction to Two Recent Papers on the Creep of Alloy Steels

Recently Russell et al. and Myers et al. extended the theory of solute drag to account for the creep behaviour of a group of niobium-stabilized austenitic steels and of a 1% Cr–Mo–V ferritic steel, respectively, at very low stresses and high temperatures. Mukherjee has pointed out an error in the differentiation of equation (7) leading to equations (13a,b) in Ref. (1).
