High-Resolution Confocal Raman Microscope
The newly developed Nomadic™ high-resolution confocal Raman microscope, Nomadic™-HR, from BaySpec is an advanced version of the state-of-the-art multi-excitation confocal Raman microscope. Inherited all novelties of the Nomadic™, such as multiple laser excitations from visible to NIR (532, 785, 1064 nm, or custom), high sensitivity and speed by using highly efficient BaySpec proprietary VPG® technology, and highly sensitive CCD and InGaAs detectors for a full spectra range covering 400–1700 nm, which covers all the Raman wavelengths range with any excitation from 530 nm to 1064 nm. Equipped with dedicated detector and a set of multiple fine-tuned VPG® gratings for each excitation laser, it ensures not only a high spectral resolution (2 cm−1 for visible and 4 cm−1 for NIR range), but also optimal spectral coverage, sensitivity and versatility. The operation is fully automated by the software, such as laser switching, laser power adjustment, library search and development, and image analysis (MCR, PLS). Coupled to a research grade optical microscope of customer's choices, the Nomadic™ and Nomadic™-HR are tools for the most challenging analysis in your laboratory. Cost-Effective, Flexible Microspectrometer
HORIBA Scientific is pleased to launch MicOS, its newest microspectrometer. This instrument incorporates the latest technology in spectroscopy and software to deliver the high performance with unequalled capabilities at an attractive price. MicOS is a fully integrated and flexible microspectrometer that combines a versatile microscope head directly coupled to a three-gratings imaging spectrometer and a research grade scientific camera. The entire package is controlled by HORIBA LabSpec software. The innovative design of the MicOS makes it compatible over a wide spectral range covering UV-Visible and NIR (200 nm to 1600 nm), allowing the characterization of different type of materials such semiconductor and biological samples. The ingenious design of the microscope head includes an embedded digital imaging camera allowing direct viewing of the sample for accurate measurements. Additionally, the user has the choice to configure MicOS either as a down-looking microspectrometer for the mapping of samples, or as a side-looking microspectrometer for samples mounted inside an upright cryostat for temperature controlled measurements. The excitation source is directly fiber-coupled to the MicOS microscope head. The choice of the wavelength for the laser is virtually unlimited as the user can self-replace any dispersive optics such as dichroic mirrors in order to match the excitation wavelength. Unlike most of the microspectrometers in the market, where the optics are already pre-configured for a specific wavelength, MicOS offers the user a level of flexibility and ease of use. MicOS is the perfect tool for photoluminescence, electroluminescence, and photo-reflectance measurements at the microscopic level. Fast Deep UV Spectrometer
Make spectral measurements from 115 to 315 nanometers in milliseconds! With no higher orders from the diffraction grating, data collection rates increase twofold in this region. McPherson's ultraviolet spectrometer, Model 234/302, is now available with cooled, sensitive CCD detectors featuring integral UV order sorting filters. The spectrometer is clean. Attention to materials selection, machining techniques, and finish permit high vacuum operation. Mitigate water and oxygen absorption by pumping a vacuum, or by use of dry nitrogen purge. The Model 234/302 features adjustable slits, scanning, and a selection of diffraction gratings. Work without compromising resolution or signal strength. Many materials have sensitive absorbance spectra in the deep ultraviolet. We have accessories for absorbance, polarization, reflectance and transmittance. Work with solids as well as powders, liquid, or gaseous samples. Applications extend beyond general-purpose spectroscopy or plasma physics. Ultraviolet spectroscopy is useful for process or quality control, UV laser development, optical test and measurement, and luminescent phosphor characterization. McPherson's application specialists are available to help assure the ultraviolet spectrometer is ready for implementation in your specific application. Custom development is not required! McPherson has more than 50 years experience manufacturing optical instruments and systems, for customers at university and research laboratories worldwide. Sealed Sample Chamber for Single Reflection ATR Accessory
PIKE Technologies has introduced a sealed sample chamber for the MIRacle, a single reflection ATR accessory. The high pressure clamp with chamber attaches to MIRacle diamond, ZnSe, or Ge crystal plates allowing the complete assembly to be moved from the spectrometer to a protective environment for sample loading and handling. Typical applications include studies of toxic or chemically aggressive solids and powders. The chamber is made of stainless steel and is sealed against the crystal plate with a chemically resistant O-ring. The chamber contains an internal, spring-loaded anvil that compresses the sample against the ATR crystal at a pre-set, clutch-controlled setting. In addition to the new sealed sample chamber, multiple other options including temperature control, flow-through, and special clamps are available for the PIKE MIRacle ATR accessory. Low Cost, Long-Pulsed LED Sources for Phosphorescence Measurement
HORIBA Scientific announces a new series of SpectraLEDs for phosphorescence measurements. The new SpectraLEDs are low cost, long-pulsed LED sources available at many new wavelengths from deep UV to NIR, offering high repetition rates, (0.1Hz to > 2.5kHz) with our DeltaHub electronics. They are mechanically and optically interchangeable with our NanoLED and DeltaDiode sources. SpectraLEDs have software controlled pulse duration and no afterglow, permitting easier interpretation of microsecond lifetimes compared to a xenon flashlamp. Each source contains built-in adjustable aspheric collection optics and bayonet mounting. Our DataStation software automatically adjusts the repetition rate and can be used to program the pulse width to optimize the measurement for each sample's phosphorescence. SpectraLEDs can be added as an accessory to any of HORIBA's lifetime systemsbased on ourDeltaHub or FluoroHub electronics.
