Abstract
The possible contributions and the major limitations of educational technology are noted. Six areas where technology can be applied to educational problems are noted and their suitability as programs for the National Institute of Education is discussed. The initiation by the NIE of a system modeling research program aimed at developing an Educational Dynamics postulative type model analogous to the Forrester Urban Dynamics model seems to have a number of associated advantages.
