Study of the Male Externa I Genital Organs of Sitophilus Zeamais Motschulsky (Coleoptera: Curculionidae)

In this study a description ofthe male external genital organs ofthe maize weevilSitophilus zeamais is made and the relations between their parts are established. The parts in study are of the annular type with a robust penis and a tegmen with an apodeme; the penis have also two apode mes that are united at the basis intercending an sclerite.

En este trabajo se hace una descripción de los órganos genitales masculinos externos del gorgojoSitophilus zeamais y se establecen las relaciones entre las partes que lo constituyen. Las partes en estudio son del tipo anulado, con un pene robusto y un tegmen provisto de un apodema; el pene tiene dos apodemas que se unen en la base por medio de un esclerito.
