Summary
Netropsin, an antibiotic from culture nitrates of Streptomyces netropsis, has marked therapeutic effect on experimental vaccinial infections (WR strain) in intracerebrally inoculated mice. It is ineffective against infections in mice with the viruses of feline pneumonitis, influenza, Western equine encephalomyelitis, and poliomyelitis.
