This study used photos in conversations with people with aphasia about occupations. Seven participants completed three photographic assignments, interviews, and a focus group about their occupations. This quantitative cross-sectional study assessed occupational therapy (OT) student attitudes toward people with mental illness (MI). Attitudes improved overall during the 5-yr OT program; however, no significant differences were found for some attitude factors, such as blame. MI stigma must be addressed in OT training.

This systematic review identified that early active mobilization rehabilitation protocols, when used in the clinic and as home exercise, result in overall good to excellent return of function in upper extremities that sustained Zone II flexor tendon repairs.

This pretest–posttest RCT investigated the efficacy of exercise and thermal modalities (paraffin wax, hydrotherapy) in managing osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis in hands. Little statistical data to support use of these modalities in arthritic hands exist. Significant scores indicating effectiveness of intervention methods were found.

A retrospective multicase study of functional outcomes was done with patients with an implanted total artificial heart. Results show improved function with occupational therapy provided postoperatively. Knowledge and evidence can be used to develop and implement interventions for this population.
