Abstract
Purpose
To develop and validate the content of the components of the auriculotherapy nursing intervention.
Methods
This descriptive and methodological study was carried out in three steps: an integrative literature review, with a diagnosis of the state of the art and a basis for the study; development of the nursing intervention based on the Nursing Interventions Classification (NIC) and validation by the Kappa Index (k = ≥0.61) and the content validity index (CVI ≥ 0.80). The experts were recruited using the snowball method, who met the inclusion criteria: being a nurse, having completed an auriculotherapy course, having clinical experience with auriculotherapy, and having used the NICs in clinical practice for at least 1 year. The instrument for validation was sent via Google Forms in April 2022.
Results
The title, definition, and 11 activities of the new nursing intervention with Kappa and CVI indexes accepted for content validity were validated.
Conclusions
The content validation of the nursing intervention was fundamental for the suitability of its components, allowing it to be refined.
Implications for nursing practice
The contribution of the study consists of the possible inclusion of this intervention in the NIC, favoring the use of standardized language in the clinical practice of auriculotherapy.
Objetivo
Construir e validar o conteúdo dos componentes da intervenção de enfermagem auriculoterapia.
Métodos
Pesquisa metodológica descritiva desenvolvida em três etapas: revisão integrativa da literatura, com diagnóstico do estado da arte e embasamento para o estudo; construção da intervenção de enfermagem subsidiada pelas diretrizes da Nursing Interventions Classification/NIC e validação pelo Índice Kappa (k = ≥ 0,61) e Índice de Validade de Conteúdo (IVC ≥ 0,80). Os especialistas foram recrutados pelo método bola de neve e cumpriram os critérios de inclusão: ser enfermeiro, ter realizado curso de auriculoterapia, declarar experiência clínico assistencial com auriculoterapia e utilizar a Nursing Interventions Classifications na prática clínica há pelo menos um ano. O instrumento para a validação foi enviado via Google Formulários em abril/2022. Para a validação do conteúdo da intervenção foi considerado o Índice de Validade de Conteúdo, onde cada item deveria ser ≥ 0,80.
Resultados
Foram validados o título, a definição e as 11 atividades da nova intervenção de enfermagem com índices Kappa e IVC aceitos para validade de conteúdo.
Conclusões
A validação do conteúdo da intervenção de enfermagem foi fundamental para a adequação dos seus componentes, permitindo o seu refinamento.
Implicações para a prática de enfermagem
A contribuição do estudo consiste na possível inclusão desta intervenção na Nursing Interventions Classification, favorecendo o uso de linguagem padronizada à prática clínica da auriculoterapia.
